Prince - Albums - (Reviews / Ratings)

On this page I have tried to compare and rate the numerous releases from Prince and tried to highlight which tracks I see as the most important on the individual releases. Prince has been very prolific and it can always be discussed which records to include. I have chosen to include the NPG records on this list but have chosen to exclude other releases. It's my page so I can do whatever I want. :)

Prince - For You
Title: For You

Comments:
Prince's first album. Totally unheard of Prince produced his debut album and he played an incredible number of instruments on it as well. The album is too smooth and soft and most of the songs are not that strong. But it was obvious from the beginning that the man had talent.
Important Tracks: Soft And Wet, Just As Long As We're Together, My Love Is Forever

Prince - Prince
Title: Prince

Comments:
On the second album Prince began writing better songs and especially in the song "Bambi" he touched sex in a very direct way. Still the album has a lot of weaker tracks and it is still not quite Prince as we would get to know and love him.
Important Tracks: I Wanna Be Your Lover, Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad?, Sexy Dancer, Bambi

Prince - Dirty Mind
Title: Dirty Mind

Comments:
This is Prince's first true masterpiece. This is his trademark Minneapolis sound in full effect. It is so funky that you can't sit still and the melodies are incredible. It is sex in your face with songs like "Dirty Mind", "Head" and "Sister" breaking all boundaries and presenting his royal badness from his most impressive side. Even the album cover is nothing but perfect. This album is a must have and one of the most important albums in popular music.
Important Tracks: Dirty Mind, When You Were Mine, Gotta Broken Heart Again, Uptown, Head, Sister

Prince - Controversy
Title: Controversy

Comments:
Although this album is not quite as fantastic as "Dirty Mind" it is still pretty great. It contains a lot of amazing pop tunes. The production is a bit more polished than the raw sound of "Dirty Mind" and perhaps that is one of the reasons why I rate it somewhat lower. Whichever way you look at it, it is not a bad album at all.
Important Tracks: Controversy, Sexuality, Do Me Baby, Private Joy, Let's Work, Jack U Off

Prince - 1999
Title: 1999

Comments:
The best songs on this album is Prince at his peak. Songs like "Delirious" and "Lady Cab Driver" is among the best songs Prince has ever done. Unfortunately there are a bunch of fillers as well which prevents this album from getting a top rating. Fillers or not - it is a very strong album which was the last step for Prince to climb before he became a superstar. A lot of the b-sides from this era is more than worth checking out.
Important Tracks: 1999, Little Red Corvette, Delirious, Let's Pretend We're Married, Lady Cab Driver, International Lover

Prince - Purple Rain
Title: Purple Rain

Comments:
Prince's first rock album that to this day stand as a milestone in rock history. It contains almost nothing but hit singles and the only thing that really annoys me is that "Computer Blue" was never released in the extended version that beats the album version by many lengths. The b-sides and related projects are numerous and Prince was unstopable at this time. Although the Purple Rain movie may seem a little dated today it is still an undeniable masterpiece containing one of the best soundtracks ever written and a testament of Prince's genious.
Important Tracks: Let's Go Crazy, The Beautiful Ones, Computer Blue, Darling Nikki, When Doves Cry, I Would Die 4 U, Purple Rain

Prince - Around The World In A Day
Title: Around The World In A Day

Comments:
"Around The World In A Day" was a bold move for Prince with it's somewhat psychedelic sound that is not just a safe extension of the "Purple Rain" rock sound. This album contains great songs and it is a favourite of mine. Again the b-sides should be mentioned as they are really great and so are the extended versions of the singles. The extended version of "America" runs for nothing less than 21:46!
Important Tracks: Around The World In A Day, Paisley Park, Condition Of The Heart, Raspberry Beret, America, Pop Life, The Ladder

Prince - Parade
Title: Parade

Comments:
This album is the soundtrack to the "Under The Cherry Moon" movie that was Prince's second movie. It became a bit of a flop but many fans including myself still love it. It is simply a fact that the main audience never really understood what it was all about. The music is wonderful and complements the movie in a fantastic way. Even though people may not quite get Prince's movie they still couldn't resist the everlasting "Kiss". This was to be the last album with Prince's band The Revolution (including Wendy and Lisa.) An era was about to end. And what better way to end it than the timeless ballad "Sometimes It Snows In April".
Important Tracks: New Position, Girls & Boys, Life Can Be So Nice, Mountains, Kiss, Anotherloverholenyohead, Sometimes It Snows In April

Prince - Sign ´O´ The Times
Title: Sign "O" The Times

Comments:
Prince had yet another masterpiece in him. Sign "O" The Times is so full of life and irresistable music that it is almost unbelievable. Prince had actually planned this album as a 3 record vinyl album but the record company made him turn it into a 2 record album. Quite a shame considering the fantastic songs he kept writing back then. Still what did end up on the album compiles into one of the best pop albums of all time and a must have. To enjoy this album as it should be enjoyed it is advisable to get your hands on the music DVD of the same name that was filmed back then. It is one of the best concert movies ever made.
Important Tracks: Sign "O" The Times, Play In The Sunshine, Housequake, The Ballad Of Dorothy Parker, Starfish And Coffee, Forever In My Life, If I Was Your Girlfriend, Strange Relationship, I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man, The Cross, It's Gonna Be A Beautiful Night, Adore

Prince - LoveSexy
Title: LoveSexy

Comments:
Actually the next album Prince did was "The Black Album" but for various reasons it wasn't released until 1994. What we got instead was "LoveSexy". It is a very positive album and it has a very unique "light" sound that works really well. The corresponding tour is the best music show I've ever seen (I caught it in Copenhagen '88). Luckily the Dortmund gig was filmed and is available as a DVD that is a complete must have for any Prince fan. A musician to note on this album is Sheila E. who does some out-of-this-world drumming on "Dance On".
Important Tracks: I No, Alphabet St., Anna Stesia, Dance On, LoveSexy, I Wish You Heaven, Positivity

Prince - Batman
Title: Batman

Comments:
While this is not Prince's most interesting album musically it still works very well as a movie soundtrack with a very consistent sound and a good flow. Unfortunately the producers of the Batman movie decided to use very few of the songs in the movie. A shame really...
Important Tracks: The Future, Electric Chair, Vicki Waiting, Trust, Scandalous, Batdance
©: 1989   (p): 1989   Label: WB   #:    Media: CD

 Rating: 6/10
Prince - Graffiti Bridge
Title: Graffiti Bridge

Comments:
Prince's third movie "Graffiti Bridge" was a sequel to "Purple Rain". It is an awful movie and it obviously flopped big time. The soundtrack is however not that bad. It contains several good songs. The album contains songs by other musicians (like The Time) not exactly making it a very consistent album. Worth noting is that the extended version of "Thieves In The Temple" is way better than the album version.
Important Tracks: Can't Stop This Feeling I Got, New Power Generation, The Question Of U, We Can Funk, Joy In Repetition, Thieves In The Temple

Prince - Diamonds And Pearls
Title: Diamonds And Pearls

Comments:
This album was quite succesful for Prince and his band The New Power Generation. It contains several hit singles most noteable are "Diamonds And Pearls", "Cream" and "Gett Off". It is rather lightweight pop but it is not bad at all. You should track down the 6 track maxi single of "Gett Off" as well. It is a very nice remix EP.
Important Tracks: Thunder, Diamonds And Pearls, Cream, Strollin', Willing And Able, Gett Off, Insatiable

 Rating: 4/10
Prince - Love Symbol
Title: Love Symbol

Comments:
While this album contains a few great tracks like "Sexy M.F." and "7" it is for most parts a pretty bad album. It is a lot less interesting than "Diamonds and Pearls" and gave the first hint that Prince was again able to release albums that were less than outstanding compared to other musicians. The magical era that had lasted from 1980's "Dirty Mind" was over.
Important Tracks: Sexy M.F., The Continental, The Flow, 7, The Sacrifice Of Victor

Prince - The Hits / The B-sides (compilation)
Title: The Hits / The B-sides (compilation)

Comments:
This compilation is quite good covering Prince's musical output up until 1993. There are some odd choices and some annoying edited single versions among the tracks but generally it is a good compilation album. The most interesting thing (apart from the 4 previously unreleased tracks) is the third disc containing a compilation of b-side tracks. It is a must have for all Prince fans and tracks like "Erotic City", "She's Always In My Hair" and "17 Days" are among the all-time Prince classics.
Important Tracks: Peach, all tracks on the B-Sides disc
©: 1993   (p): 1993   Label: WB   #:    Media: CD
Notes: Compilation, only the boxset version contains the third disc with b-sides

Prince - Gold Nigga (New Power Generation)
Title: Gold Nigga (New Power Generation)

Comments:
This was the first NPG album and especially the 3 tracks listed are pretty great. As has been the case with all NPG releases up until today it also contains a lot of throw-away tracks a fact that obviously doesn't earn it a top rating. But a track like "Johnny" will always make you smile.
Important Tracks: Deuce & A Quarter, Black M.F. In The House, Johnny
©: 1993   (p): 1993   Label: NPG   #:    Media: CD
Notes: The first edition has an extra track: "Guess Who's Knockin'"

 Rating: 8/10
Prince - The Black Album
Title: The Black Album

Comments:
Originally scheduled for release in 1988 this album was pulled by either Prince or the record company for being too "dark". Instead "LoveSexy" was released with it's much more positive lyrics. "The Black Album" became one of the world's most bootlegged albums ever since any Prince fan obviously needed to own a copy. It is a very funky album and I've always been a big fan of it. The production is not entirely succesful but it really contains some superfunky stuff that just makes you go wow!
Important Tracks: Le Grind, Cindy C., Bob George, SuperFunkyCaliFragiSexi, Rockhard In A Funky Place

Prince - Come
Title: Come

Comments:
This is a very good album. The album cover kinda illustrates the beginning of Prince's war with his record company (Warner Bros.) The songs are somewhat dark but also very varied and at the same time surprisingly consistent. The jazzy title track runs for 11:13 and drips of pure sex. "Space" and "Letitgo" are fantastic pop songs and "Loose!" is furiously executed electro rock'n'roll excellence. Prince may have killed himself (or at least his name) on the cover but musically he was still very much alive. In 1994 two music VHS cassettes were released: "The Undertaker" and "The Sacrifice of Victor". Especially "The Undertaker" (that also should have been released as a music cd, but only appeared as a bootleg) is oustanding with superplus cool rock'n'roll and blues music and is totally worth tracking down.
Important Tracks: Come, Space, Pheromone, Loose!, Race, Letitgo

Prince - The Gold Experience
Title: The Gold Experience

Comments:
First album released by Prince using the symbol rather than the Prince name. What we get here is a very consistent album and (apart from Mayte - Prince's exwife - yelling annoyingly in Spanish from time to time) it is a pleasure. It is a superb pop album and it has several great tracks and a perfect flow. The only reason why it failed to sell is that Warner Brothers didn't promote it at all because of the ongoing war with Prince. A big question remains why tracks like "Acknowledge Me" and "Days of Wild" were never included on the album. Broadcasted on tv at the time was a music movie called "The Beatiful Experience" that is worth getting a copy of if you can. It contains several tracks from "The Gold Experience" and "Come", many of them in alternate versions.
Important Tracks: P Control, Endorphinmachine, Shhh, The Most Beautiful Girl In The World, Dolphin, Billy Jack Bitch, I Hate U

Prince - Exodus (New Power Generation)
Title: Exodus (New Power Generation)

Comments:
The second NPG album release. Again we get a few great songs and a lot of tracks that are more or less fillers. Also we get some rather funny segues in between the songs. Especially "The Exodus Has Begun" track is outstanding and shows an angry Prince hitting at the greedy record companies. Outtakes not included on the album are "Mad" and "Funky Design". If you compare these brilliant outtakes to some of the album fillers, it just leaves you in wonder thinking "why, oh why?".
Important Tracks: Get Wild, The Good Life, The Exodus Has Begun

Prince - Chaos And Disorder
Title: Chaos And Disorder

Comments:
To get out of his contract with Warner Brothers Prince had to deliver one more album. That happened to be an album entitled "Chaos And Disorder". That is pretty much what it is. A very poor release compared to Prince standards and only the 2 tracks listed have a little quality. The rest is pure throw-away stuff.
Important Tracks: Dinner With Delores, Zannalee

Prince - Emancipation
Title: Emancipation

Comments:
The "Emancipation" album is a daring 3 cd release targeted at bringing Prince back on top of the music scene. Unfortunately it didn't happen. The album actually has many great tracks but apart from the fact that it also has a lot of not-so-great tracks the main problem lies in the production. It is quite simply overproduced and lacks any edge at all. It is simply covered in sugar and candy and it doesn't present the songs as they deserve. A shame actually, since an album version with fewer of the songs and a totally different production could have done way better in my opinion.
Important Tracks: Jam Of The Year, Right Back Here In Your Arms, Joint 2 Joint, The Holy River, Friend Lover Sister Mother/Wife, Face Down, One Of Us, The Love We Make

Prince - Crystal Ball (compilation)
Title: Crystal Ball (compilation)

Comments:
When hardcore fans think about "Crystal Ball" they shiver and shake remembering a chaotetic order situation with delays, wrong orders and lost orders. Everything that could go wrong more or less did. The album is a mix of really cool previously unreleased gems from Prince's vault, things that should have stayed in the vault and alternate mixes or live versions of existing tracks. It is a mixed bag so to speak, but if you take your time to seperate what's great from what's not so great, then you'll find that it was worth it. It is almost always interesting to hear outtakes from Prince, and when you get to hear them in super clear non-bootleg quality, then it's even better.
Important Tracks: Crystal Ball, Acknowledge Me, Movie Star, Crucial, Good Love, Days Of Wild, Last Heart, 18 & Over, The Ride
©: 1997   (p): 1997   Label: NPG   #:    Media: CD

Prince - The Truth
Title: The Truth

Comments:
This semi acoustical release from Prince should have been so great since the idea of just Prince and his guitar or piano always sounds fantastic when he plays it live. Unfortunately many of the songs are rather weak and some of the lyrics like "Animal Kingdom" are so lame that it is quite unbelievable.
Important Tracks: Don't Play Me, The Other Side Of The Pillow
©: 1997   (p): 1997   Label: NPG   #:    Media: CD
Notes: Released as part of the "Crystal Ball" boxset

 Rating: 1/10
Prince - Kamasutra (NPG Orchestra)
Title: Kamasutra (NPG Orchestra)

Comments:
This is instrumental music for the wedding between Prince and his dancer Mayte. It is not interesting at all if you compare it to Prince's backcatalogue and it does nothing for me whatsoever. I've almost never felt any lust to replay this cd.
Important Tracks: Perhaps the title track?
©: 1997   (p): 1997   Label: NPG   #:    Media: CD
Notes: Released as part of the "Crystal Ball" boxset (NPGMC version only)

Prince - New Power Soul (New Power Generation)
Title: New Power Soul (New Power Generation)

Comments:
This is the third NPG album and this time it almost sounds like a real Prince album. The songs are however pretty average and only the singles "Come On" and "The One" really stands out. But if you are in the mood for some lightweight popmusic then it ain't a bad choice, I guess.
Important Tracks: New Power Soul, Mad Sex, Come On, The One

Prince - Rave Un2 / In2 The Joy Fantastic
Title: Rave Un2 / In2 The Joy Fantastic

Comments:
This album was first released as a retail version and then later released as a NPGMC version containing a few different tracks (most notably the great "Beautiful Strange") and some remixes. This album was yet another attempt at bringing Prince back on top of the pop world but again it kinda failed. This time the songs were simply not interesting enough, and selecting "The Greatest Romance Ever Sold" as a first single was a rather strange choice to put it mildly.
Important Tracks: Rave In2 The Joy Fantastic, Hot With U, So Far So Pleased, Baby Knows, Beautiful Strange, Whereever U Go Whatever U Do, Pretty Man
©: 1999   (p): 1999   Label: NPG   #:    Media: CD
Notes: Released as retail and NPGMC versions with different track listings

Prince - The Vault
Title: The Vault

Comments:
This Warner Brothers release is a collection of mostly previously unreleased tracks that has been put together on this album. It actually has several really cool tracks and especially "5 Women" (earlier released by Joe Cocker) and "When The Lights Go Down" are really cool. The bottom line is that this album is actually more interesting than one would initially think.
Important Tracks: The Rest Of My Life, 5 Women, When The Lights Go Down, There Is Lonely, Old Friends For Sale

Prince - The Chocolate Invasion
Title: The Chocolate Invasion

Comments:
Prince's NPG Music Club released two albums for internet download only in 2001. "The Chocolate Invasion" was one of them. While not exactly being super great it still has some very nice tracks and "Supercute" is a favourite of mine.
Important Tracks: When I Lay My Hands On U, Judas Smile, Supercute, The Dance

Prince - The Slaughterhouse
Title: The Slaughterhouse

Comments:
This was the other album released by Prince's NPG Music Club for internet download only in 2001. This album is really funky and it has many great tunes that will funk you up. If you combine the best tracks from "The Chocolate Invasion" and "The Slaughterhouse" then you'll end up with a cool album that did certainly deserve a retail release as a cd. But well, it never happened.
Important Tracks: S&M Groove, Y Should I Do That When I Can Do This?, Hypnoparadise, Props N' Pounds, Northside, Peace, 2045: Radical Man

Prince - The Rainbow Children
Title: The Rainbow Children

Comments:
This is known among fans as "The Jehovah" album. The lyrics are Prince reflecting on bible stuff and issues that are of interest for Jehovah's Witnesses. I've never really dug this album not so much because I very much detest organised religion but more because most of the tracks are rather weak. The title track is however outstanding and the song "1+1+1 is 3" is Prince being superfunky as only he can be. The tour that followed this album saw some of the best live music ever played by Prince and his NPG band and anyone who attended one or more of those shows were blown away.
Important Tracks: Rainbow Children, The Work Pt. 1, 1+1+1 is 3, The Everlasting Now

Prince - The Very Best Of (compilation)
Title: The Very Best Of (compilation)

Comments:
This is a compilation of Prince tracks and since we already had a way better compilation in "The Hits / The B-sides" then there is no reason whatsoever to buy this one. There are no special tracks that you won't find elsewhere.

Prince - One Nite Alone... (Piano Album)
Title: One Nite Alone... (Piano Album)

Comments:
This is a piano album like we've always dreamed of. Just Prince and his piano. But unfortunately the song selection is not exactly outstanding. Most notable is the wonderful (but very short) title track that Prince used on the "One Nite Alone..." tour.
Important Tracks: One Nite Alone..., A Case Of U, Avalanche, Pearls B4 The Swine

Prince - One Nite Alone... (Live)
Title: One Nite Alone... (Live)

Comments:
This is the only live album so far by Prince and it was recorded at Prince's critically aclaimed and very succesful "One Nite Alone..." tour. The NPG are a very tight band and they play better live than anything you're ever likely to bump into. Personally I think the song selection could have been better and I hate the use of overdubs here and there. It is not quite as good as it was attending this tour in person but it is still a very enjoyable live album.

Prince - One Nite Alone... The Aftershow: It Ain't Over! (Live)
Title: One Nite Alone... The Aftershow: It Ain't Over! (Live)

Comments:
Prince has always been famous for his legendary aftershows. Any fan will know the "Small Club" bootleg and get that Wow feeling inside. This album is not nearly as interesting as the "Small Club" bootleg. I've been to several Prince aftershows that were way better than this recording and I quite fail to understand why this was chosen as the aftershow to release. Anyway, hearing Prince and the NPG live is never a bad thing so it is still enjoyable.

Prince - Xpectation
Title: Xpectation

Comments:
This is an instrumental album featuring Vanessa Mae on violin and Candy Dulfer on sax as well as Prince and the NPG. I guess it can be described as jazz fusion and I fail to understand why people would want to listen to something like this. I certainly won't.
Important Tracks: None really...

Prince - N.E.W.S.
Title: N.E.W.S.

Comments:
This is yet another instrumental album by Prince and the NPG. It is slightly better than "Kamasutra" and "Xpectation" but only slightly. It is possible to listen to it but I don't enjoy it at all. It is music that you can play in the background while cleaning your house or whatever.

Prince - Musicology
Title: Musicology

Comments:
Some music reviewers claimed that Prince was back on the pop throne when he'd released this album. I am somewhat less enthusiastic. It is a pretty pleasant listening but it doesn't really have that many great tracks. It needs some more edge and it is too smooth. The funky title track is a superb hit track no doubt about it, but apart from that most of the rest is not that fantastic really.
Important Tracks: Musicology, Illusion Coma Pimp & Circumstance, Cinnamon Girl, Dear Mr. Man, Reflection

Prince - 3121
Title: 3121

Comments:
While I still don't like the production that seems to kill much of the potential energy in the songs by covering them in sugar it is still an interesting album. I can witness that the title track kicks your ass in a superfunky way live, and a track like "Love" has trademark Prince written all over it. "The Dance" was also part of "The Chocolate Invasion" album and "Fury" could have been way better with a much more raw production.

Prince - Ultimate (compilation)
Title: Ultimate (compilation)

Comments:
This 2 cd release is interesting solely for it's second disc. The first disc contains a selection of hit singles and fans will already have these tracks elsewhere. The second disc is a collection of remixes and extended version and is a very nice disc. Many fans may already have the vinyl versions of the maxi singles but here you'll get the mixes on cd as well. I hope that Warner Brothers and Prince decide to release another selection of remixes and b-sides. Better sooner than later.

Prince - Planet Earth
Title: Planet Earth

Comments:
Prince released this disc as a newspaper give-away in England and at his incredible 21 shows at the O2 Arena in London every ticket holder received a free copy. It is also released as a retail cd but all copies contains the same tracks and versions. I find this album slighly better than "Musicology" and "3121". The song "Guitar" is a great rock track and "Chelsea Rodgers" is simply irresistible funk. "The One U Wanna C" is trademark Prince and a nice track as well. All in all it is an enjoyable Prince album.
Important Tracks: Guitar, Somewhere Here On Earth, The One U Wanna C, Chelsea Rodgers, Lion Of Judah

Prince - Indigo Nights / Live Sessions (live)
Title: Indigo Nights / Live Sessions (live)

Comments:
The new photo book 21 Nights comes with a cd filled with 15 songs and jams from aftershows performed at the IndigO2 in 2007. It is an absolutely great cd. You get funky stuff, great horns, superfunky bass, stunning guitar and some funny talking from Prince as well as some great songs and jams.

This cd is a hell of a lot better than the It Ain't Over aftershow cd from the Prince One Nite Alone... 2002 boxset. It could have been even better if he had altered the tracklist and added some more guitar tracks but it is still a very fine collection. This cd is worth the price of the photo book alone. And the photo book isn't expensive at all, so there's nothing to wait for.
Important Tracks: Almost all of them, but especially: 3121 (incl. D.M.S.R.), Girls and Boys, Song of the Heart, Delirious, Satisfied, Beggin' Woman Blues (new), Rock Steady (w/ Beverley Knight), Whole Lotta Love, Alphabet St., The One (incl. The ? of U), All the Critics love U in London.

Prince - LotusFlow3r
Title: LotusFlow3r

Comments:
The LotusFlow3r album is partly a rock album with references to Hendrix and Santana. It also has several more pop-oriented tunes on it and even a bit of funky stuff. I've been asking for a Prince guitar album ever since the excellent never-released-as-an-official-cd The Undertaker [1994] album, but somehow this bag is a little too mixed for me to fully enjoy and I wouldn't call the album consistent due to the many genres that colide. However, it doesn't feel like a complete mess either. At the end of the day it is certainly not the worst Prince release in recent years and there is even the possibility that I may actually learn to appriciate it more in the years to come.
Important Tracks: Boom, Crimson And Clover, The Morning After, 4Ever, Colonized Mind, Wall Of Berlin, $, Dreamer

Prince - MPLSound
Title: MPLSound

Comments:
MPLSound is a pop album with lots of electro drums and voice processing (including Camille and Cher fx). It starts off very well with the catchy tune (There'll Never B) Another Like Me, a statement which sounds quite true, since it is Prince we are talking about.

It is a lightweight pop album and it has everything from good catchy poptunes to complete garbage fillers. All of it is wrapped in a sound that somehow feels a bit old to be honest. Certainly not the most important album release ever from Prince, LotusFlow3r is a lot better than this album.
Important Tracks: (There'll Never B) Another Like Me, Chocolate Box, Dance 4 Me, Here, Valentina, Ol' Skool Company

Prince - 20TEN
Title: 20TEN

Comments:
It's been a long time since I could say that I totally liked a new Prince album. Quite a while actually. This new Prince album is a pop album and it is some of his best output for a very long time and totally easy to like.

The album should also appeal to casual Prince listeners and I'm quite sure that most die-hard fans will love it. It's got a lot of the eighties MPLS vibe to it, but it never sounds outdated at all.

Prince's recent 3cd release from 2009 also featured a pop album "MPLSound". This new album is however much more consistent and enjoyable, from first track "Compassion" to last track "Laydown". There is a majority of faster pop tracks, but also a few ballads. It is fresh and it is catchy and it is funky!
Important Tracks: Compassion, ..., Laydown.
